Last night was another typical summer evening, grey sky and drizzle! With winds gusting up to 30 knots !!! Despite the conditions the M&G sponsored race went ahead.

The course was a tour of the Little Russel to make best use of the SW wind. From the start the yachts headed down to Anfré, out to Lower Heads, up to Brehon Tower before returning to the Castle Cornet Start/Finish line. Majic was first over the line, followed some 5 seconds later by Seventh Sun, with Jostler close on their heels. After the handicaps had been applied the positions were reversed.
Only Busker made it to the start line in Class 2 and after discussion it was agreed that they could join the Class 1 boats, given that 2 boats are required for a race.
After the Race everyone returned to the club for much needed refreshment and the presentation of the prizes from our generous sponsors M&G who very kindly gave a QTA (a hoist out of the water and pressure wash) to the winners.
